ADVENTURE BOOT CAMP

“Our mission is to inspire and motivate all women throughout South Africa by providing a fun and innovative alternative to conventional exercise programmes, along with encouragement and useful information, so that they are able to create positive changes within themselves – both physically and mentally.”

How did the BOOT CAMP begin?

Adventure Boot Camp started in September 2005, with 30 enthusiastic women, one location and the dream to provide the best outdoor fitness programme for as many women as possible in South Africa.

With over 60 locations across the country, we now provide an affordable, alternative fitness & health solution to women in Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Somerset West, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Centurion, Durban, Polokwane, Potchefstroom and more. We are about community and giving women a place where they can find a sense of belonging within their fitness journey.  Together we’re a strong team of dedicated professionals ensuring that camps run smoothly & that our campers receive the best service. Register for unlimited sessions at Adventure Boot Camp, the four-week outdoor exercise programme that offers workout programmes for women, fitness instruction, nutritional counselling and motivational training packed with fun and energising activities designed to help you reach your fitness goals.

What We Do ?

THIS IS OUR PASSION

myrun hosts free and safe weekly timed Events, bringing like-minded people together, regardless of level of fitness. The Events, which are hosted every Sunday, are open to everyone, including children. Our Events take place at exciting Venues throughout South Africa, which include parks, wine estates, hotels, nature reserves and other multifunction Venues. We offer a 2,5km and 5km route that can either be walked or run.

We are a community focused fitness company that has been formed to target all audiences and to bring communities together, by hosting free weekly fitness Events that are accessible to everyone. Our purpose is to make a difference to communities through our Events and to encourage and inspire people to be more active through all stages of their lives. We have a passionate team who are driven to offer the best Events and a group of enthusiastic Volunteers who help us achieve this.

By registering for myrun, you become part of the MyFitness community, where you can join us for weekly runs on a Sunday morning at 8am. You will need to purchase a Timing Band in order to have your run timed and to receive your Results for each Event. The Timing Band will cost you R60.00 incl. VAT. You will collect your timing band at the Venue that you have registered for. Thereafter, you can participate at any Venue you wish.

NEDBANK RUNNING CLUB

Nedbank Running Club

In early 2008 Nedbank launched the Nedbank Running Club (NRC), with 13 branches based in 12 cities around the country to bring running enthusiasts together at a social and competitive level while identifying and guiding talented individuals to excel at the sport. The NRC now has a membership of over 3 800 people. The branches are strategically located in Soweto, Gauteng (North and Central), the Eastern Cape, the Free State, KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, the South Western Districts, the Western Cape, the Vaal Triangle and in Central North West.

Nick Bester, a fomer winner of the Comrades Marathon and a prodigious multidiscipline athlete, serves as the club’s National Manager. The development Nedbank Running Clubs are managed by top athletes, the likes of Enoch Skosana, Pio Mpolokeng, legendary Xolile Yawa and Siyaya Khoza.

PARKOUR & FREERUNNING

WHAT IS PARKOUR & FREERUNNING?

Parkour is an art form that involves using your body to move efficiently and swiftly through any natural environment. Practitioners of parkour are known as ‘traceurs’ and the goal of every traceur is to develop his/her body while perfecting a vocabulary of techniques in order to achieve a certain level of mastery over the natural environments that we all live in.

Traceurs learn to take the fasted route from point “A” to point “B” overcoming any obstacle in there way in an instant.They are masters of chase or escape. Freerunning is much more expressive, and practitioners of freerunning are known as ‘freerunners’. Like traceurs, there is a heavy emphasis on efficient and silent movement, but unlike traceurs freerunners do not move with any specific direction or destination in mind. Instead, they see their canvas as the landscape, and the art as the potential motion that fills it. Freerunners will run up walls and do backlfips, twists, and spin all over the place decorating barriers and ledges with gracefully flowing movements inspired by many other art forms.

We are a team of Professional Athletes and Coaches each specialized in different movement patterns such as Parkour, Freerunning, Tricking, Break Dancing and Martial Arts.Our style of moving is influenced by more than one art form. What we offer to you is the knowledge that we have gathered over the passed 10-15 years.
Keeping to the roots of the movement, we always make sure that our practice is traditionally challenging and good for your mental and physical health.
We will help you build your foundation to a strong healthy lifestyle. We will be challenging your limits to create the best version of yourself that you can be.

ABOUT US

Concrete Foundation Crew is South Africa’s leading Parkour training crew.
Born and raised in the Sandton, Johannesburg, Concrete Foundation has now grown to become a leader in the art of movement, and offers services such as parkour training &. professional show choreography. We have a full-time stunt team working on Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters, as well as a full-time performance team doing corporate events across the country.

CFC has guided many young men and women into full-time performance careers. All our coaches at Concrete Foundation Crew are internationally certified to teach parkour. Our academy is respected and recognized by major international bodies including Parkour South Africa, and A.D.A.P.T.
